The Intelligence Mission Data Center (IMDC) is the lead DIA organization tasked with the implementation of DoD Directive 5250.01 “Management of Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) in DoD Acquisitions." IMD is DoD intelligence used for programming platform mission systems in development, testing, operations, and sustainment including, but not limited to, the functional areas of Signatures, Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming, Characteristics and Performance data, Order of Battle, and Geospatial Intelligence.

As the Department’s focal point for IMD development, production, and sharing, the IMDC is uniquely positioned to deliver cross-program analysis and assessments of IMD standards, production requirements, gaps, and required costs. The IMDC’s main lines of effort are DIAP IMD Standing Working Group secretariat, Assessments, Production Planning/Metrics, Standardization, and Foreign Engagement. Supported stakeholders include major defense acquisition programs, service sponsors, senior leaders, and the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.

The main deliverable is to facilitate and coordinate the assessment of Lifecycle Mission Data Plans (LMDP).  The LMDP defines specific IMD requirements of Major Weapon System programs and then IMD Producers assess the requirements and respond with IMD availability, gaps and associated production efforts/costs. By providing insight into scope and fidelity of IMD requirements, Cyberspace Solutions enables the Defense Intelligence Enterprise to improve production planning and informs funding decisions for existing intelligence production and gaps while ensuring the Services understand intelligence gaps and associated risk to programs and weapon systems. The Senior All Source Analyst also provides detailed input to the Center’s leadership regarding IMD production, shortfalls, prioritization, cross program analysis, and Program of Analysis alignment.
