Cyberspace Solutions is looking for a highly motivated, innovative and experienced Technical Director to manage a team of Solutions Architects supporting a sales and business development team that supports the National Security and Intelligence Community sectors in the US. You will be a hands-on leader, who leads by example. Your experience in building and managing high-performance teams will help accelerate our growing business.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management: Management of a Matrix Engineering and Solutions Resource Organization (not a Profit and Loss organization) including the management of personnel resources, technical solution development focused on full stack Cloud/Data Engineering,  talent evaluation and management (training, career progression), and supporting multiple Illuminate and CSS business winning activities including customer facing demonstrations, engagements, and solution sessions  
  • Coordination: Coordinating with CSS and Illuminate Senior Executives on the development of Data Engineering focused customer solutions including the coordination and development of technical responses to customer requirements (RFIs, RFPs), development of technical personnel Basis of Estimates to support solutions development, management of full-time, part-time and contractor personnel utilization supporting customer-focused programs of record, coordination and management of transition activities from the Illuminate Labs organization (concepts, Phase 1) to the CSS organization (Phase 2,3, and programs of record)
  • Recruiting Support: Coordinate with Labs leadership, CSS leadership, and recruiters to develop quality requisitions for technical personnel to support Labs and CSS Technical Programs and participate in interviews to vet qualified staff  
  • Solution Development: Coordinate with Labs staff, CSS P&L Leadership and CSS Chief Information Officer on the development/tailoring of the Vigilance™ Data Analytics Platform/Framework to meet specific Use Cases to provide technical solutions supporting existing or emerging customer requirements. Develop solution architecture, workplans, and critical development milestones in collaboration with Labs staff for execution in a variety of customer environments  
  • Business Development: Support Illuminate and CSS business winning activities through the execution of customer facing engagements, presales prototyping, and demonstrations of Illuminate products and technologies, support the development of production of unsolicited proposals, Government produced Requests for Information, and Requests for Proposals. Closely coordinate with Illuminate and CSS Business Development and Operations Personnel to execute new customer and new capability development campaigns where technology infusion is critical for mission execution.

Qualifications

Basic Experience/Technical Background:

  • 5 + years technical experience as a solutions architect, software or system engineer, or technical consultant with at least 3 years managing a technical team of solution architects with preferred experience involving:
    • Cloud Development/Engineering
    • DevOps
    • Agile Scrum
    • Data Analytics (AI/ML)
  • 5+ years of experience working with large enterprise accounts and supporting IC/DoD Agency/Service requirements such as:
    • Business Development
    • On-Site support
    • Developing systems
    • Operations support
  • 5+ years of experience in technical management/leadership such as:
    • Program Management
    • Solutioning using AWS, Azure or Google cloud
    • Running and/or supporting a Lab environment
    • Leading an Engineering or Software Development Team

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in program such as math, engineering, computer science
  • Masters of Science preferred (appropriate additional experience can be substituted)

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Solutions Architect preferred
  • Security+

Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI
